All members of this group had some knowledge of Spanish before we started but wanted to improve their spoken Spanish and understanding of the language in everyday situations. We study those situations in which we might find ourselves on holiday, such as in a restaurant, at the doctor’s or in shops. We use a wide variety of materials for improving listening and reading skills and encouraging speaking. Our starting point is learning what we actually might need to say, bringing in only as much grammar as is necessary, and extending our vocabulary. by listening to and reading a range of texts, dialogues, articles and short stories.
Language games are also used to add variety `and “fun” to the sessions and we also occasionally go out for tapas!
