Members meet one afternoon a month to read a complete play. We borrow play sets from Reading Library and members take it in turn to make the selections. The hiring costs are met by u3a. We cast the play, fairly arbitrarily, at the beginning of the afternoon but change round occasionally to try to give everyone a fair share of reading.
Members who are able take turns to host the meetings and to provide tea for a nominal contribution. This limits the size of the group to a maximum of 12. Gentlemen are particularly welcome to help balance the sexes.
