David Allen will speak on ‘The Weird and Wonderful World of the Law’.
He will take us on a hugely enjoyable romp through the legal world. For over 25 years, David was a locum solicitor travelling around the country, encountering raging judges, dotty clients and weird cases. Join David on a journey through bizarre true-life oddities, daft old laws still in place and political correctness gone raving mad!
This talk will again be held at our new venue, the recently-built Desborough Bowling Club at 10 Green Lane, Maidenhead SL6 1XZ (Green Lane is just off Stafferton Link and Bray Lane; there is plenty of free parking). Please aim to arrive between 2.00 & 2.15pm.
It is our expectation that the vast majority of our members, all of whom are in the higher risk groups will have been double vaccinated. We will also ask that as we are meeting indoors, the wearing of masks is maintained to ensure we can offer the greatest level of mutual protection. We also recognise that there are some, who for medical or other reasons, may not have been vaccinated or be comfortable wearing a mask or visor, and we would ask that if you fall into these categories, you sit at the rear of the hall.
