A new group is proposed to discuss – and when appropriate get muddy by exploring – issues in ecology. It would be a ’shared knowledge’ plus ‘current topics’ group, not a ‘tutorial’ group. Provisional times are 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, mornings. Indoors in Winter we need room for 10-12 members so that we have viable numbers & diversity. Summer will be outside, even if it rains. Members will present topics from their experience or from field work, and will review current affairs. Recent issues include ‘Why so few land snails in Costa Rica?’; ‘Has the Borough Local Plan dealt fairly with ecology?’; ‘What is the local impact of global warming?’; ‘Where have all the Wasp Spiders come from?’
